Das Interkulturelle und interreligiöse Lernhaus für Frauen in Frankfurt (2005 – 2011)
Women’s intercultural and interreligious house of learning, Frankfurt
More than 30 women from 20 countries were qualified as cultural mediators within the project’s first six years of duration. Today, they continue to make use of their knowledge and experiences in various fields of society, e.g. in honorary work as the trainer of an intercultural girls’ soccer team, or as a full-time cultural mediator at the Liebig-Schule in Frankfurt am Main.
The philosophy of “Lernhaus” was disseminated on three conferences at national level. Five new “Lernhaus” projects originated on the basis of our work: in Ulm, Münster, Remscheid, Wolfsburg and Aschaffenburg.
LERNHAUS FRANKFURT was funded from 2009 to 2011 by Frauenreferat and Dezernat für Integration der Stadt Frankfurt am Main, and by Hessisches Sozialministerium with means of the Idea programme and of the European Social Fund.
