AMiCo – Assessment of Migrants’ Competences in the Elderly Care

The growing demand for qualified care personnel in western Europe is more and more covered with workers from abroad. But the heterogeneity of professional education systems makes it difficult to assess competences – and puts a limit to the mobility of workers.
Together with other European partners, beramí has developed an online self-assessment tool in five languages. The “AMiCo tool” makes it possible to assess professionally relevant experiences and competences that were acquired formally, informally or non-formally. It comprises these competences in a document which may be added to the application portfolio. A second document contains information with regard to the ECVET points reached.

Please see the multilingual site www.amico-online.org for information on the assessment tool, valuable information on the profession of Elderly care, recognition of qualifications, further training opportunities etc. in the respective countries (Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Poland and Germany).

beramí’s partners in the transnational project were DRK-Landesverband Hessen e.V., ANS Anziani e Non solo (Italien), Asociatia Habilitas Centrul de Resurse si Formare Profesionala (Rumänien), TRANSFER (Polen) and Balkanplan Ltd. (Bulgarien)

Funding for AMiCo ended in 2014. The Website will be active until end of 2016. If you are interested in the AMiCo tool for transfer, please contact Elisa Rossi.
